Dealer's Room Once again, you can look forward to another convention tradition -- the Dealers' Room! You'll find a room where fans, fan groups and commercial businesses alike set out their wares. You just might find that treasure you've been looking for . . . that treasure you didn't know existed . . . or that zine (or zines!) that just has to hop in your suitcase to go home with you! As a matter of fact, there is a another tradition that goes along with this area of the con, and that is the "Orphan Table" - which warrants its own separate page! (be sure to check that out, too!) If you are coming to the convention, be sure to plan some time to wander about. The Dealer's Room will be open all day Friday, all day Saturday and likely a "last chance" hour or two on Sunday. It will be closed on Friday and Saturday nights when we are all gathered in the Great Hall for our group programs and activities. If you want to have a Dealer Table at the con - here's the info: Pricing: Dealer Tables are available for $135, with a second table available for $65.We do not ask for a percentage of any of your sales at your table(s) over the course of the con. The Dealer Table fees are a flat fee with no commission on sales added to that price. We also ask that each Dealer donate two items to the Con - of around $10 value each or more - that will be used to help pay for the con. Dealer Tables will be sold on a first come, first served basis - and will be limited only by the square footage in our available hotel space. Keep checking here for more information on table size, total number of tables available, room logistics re: outlets, use of wall space, type of table covers, etc. Important Note: Anyone selling merchandise must collect and pay California sales tax (currently 8.25%). The collection of sales tax is the sole responsibility of each dealer. If you do not already have a California seller's permit, you can get a Temporary Seller's Permit from the California State Board of Equalization. The Dealers' Room will be locked during times it's closed, overnight, etc - so there's no need to set up anew each day. Access will be provided on THURSDAY for Dealer Room setups. Teardown happens on SUNDAY - directly after Closing Ceremonies - and before the optional Sunday evening "Beast'ro by the Bay" event. Each dealer is responsible for the safety of their own goods and staffing of their tables while the Dealers Room is open. It is recommended that merchandise be covered with a sheet when unattended. The con will make every attempt (with its own Security volunteers) to assure that only those with convention registrations enter the Dealers Room. The Dealers Room will be located directly next to the Art Room. All con goers will be provided with con meeting room maps - to locate the Banquet Room, Dealer Room, Art Room, etc - in their con tote bags. You can sign up & pay for a Dealer Table - right along with your Registration - or buy one anytime on its own.
